• Choir in Sheffield - Young Voices Concert

  Our Borrow Wood choir is currently rehearsing at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield for a concert tonight.

  There about 5,000 children here singing and dancing. Tonight there will be a live audience that they will perform to.

  It is a fantastic event and opportunity for the children to experience performing as part of a huge choir to an audience - it is loud but there is a lot of jigging, singing and smiling!
  Thank you to Mrs Wadsworth who has offered her time willingly for months to run the choir club and organise participation in events like this for the children.

  Also thank you to our parent helpers and Mr Martinson for also giving of their time.

• Cedar are Champions!

  I am delighted to be able to share that Cedar Class managed to pip Fir Class to the post and have been crowned winners of this half-term's Times Table Rockstar tournament.

  The result was shared in our Star Award assembly today and was met with a very enthusiastic celebration from Mr Saeed. When asked to comment on his class's performance, Mr Saeed suggested that he was over the moon and that if he could choose between Derby County or Cedar Class being crowned champions of their respective leagues, he would always choose Cedar Class!

  The tournament will take a break for a short while and return in the summer. The children can continue to access Times Table Rockstar in the meantime.
