GIRLS' FOOTBALL

The year 6 girls football team played their inaugural football tournament on Friday after school. They travelled to John Port School to play against lots of other Derby primary schools. For their first ever matches against other schools, they did brilliantly. They drew the first game 0-0, won the second game 2-1, lost the third game and very narrowly (and some could say undeservedly) lost the final game. Narrowly missing out on going through to the next round, they returned to Borrow Wood having thoroughly enjoyed the experience and keen to play again. Well done to Lily, Beth, Millie, London, Pip, Nieve, Gracie, Hannah, Esme and Bella on their fantastic effort, team spirit and determination
