Yr 5/6 Cyclo-cross

On the wettest of Thursdays, 6 children from Borrow Wood set off to try out the sport of cyclo-cross.

For cyclo-cross the weather was perfect!

After a brief introduction on how to use the bikes, the children set off on a practice lap. Following this, the children competed with in a race with 5 other Derby schools and came third overall.

Great fun was had by all of the children as you can see from the photos.

We anticipate that the parents were not so enthusiastic when the children arrived home with wet, muddy kit!
