Committee Structure of the Governing Board
The structure of the Governing Board is as follows:
The Full Governing Board meets once every half term. All governors are expected to attend unless unable to do so. In such cases 'apologies' should be sent to the clerk to governors. There are two sub-committees, Standards and Resources, that also meet half-termly.

Standards Committee
The Standards Committee provides challenge and support in the following areas:
- Curriculum and educational provision
- Provision and outcomes for children with special educational needs
- Pupil Premium Funding
- Educational Visits
- Monitoring standards and outcomes for all pupils - attainment and progress
- Quality of teaching and learning
- Setting priorities for the School Improvement Plan
- Monitoring the presentation of the school and relationships with the wider community
- Leadership and management of school
- Appraisal of staff
- Continuing Professional Development of Staff
Resources Committee
The Resources Committee provides challenge and support in the following areas:
- Financial Management of school
- Developing school policies linked to finance
- Maintain a three year budget plan taking account of school priorities
- Draft and propose the annual budget to the Full Governing board
- Insurance
- Asses Register
- Ensuring the school is sufficiently staffed
- Ensure school staffing procedures conform to Safer Recruitment practices
- Implement a Pay Policy for all staff
- Monitor approved procedures for staff discipline
- Monitor income and expenditure including 'best value'
- Approve writing off unrecoverabe debt
- Financial Management
- Set priorities for the School Improvement Plan
- Health and Safety
- Site safety and maintenance
