Admission to Borrow Wood from Reception to Year 6

Borrow Wood Primary School adheres to Derby City Council's admission arrangements.

Children are admitted into the Foundation Stage 2 (Reception) classes through one intake in September. Parents’ meetings and transition visits are arranged in the summer term before the children start school. The standard pupil admission number is 45 per year.

You can make an application from 3 November 2023. The closing date for online applications is 12 January 2024. If the closing date has passed, you can still apply however any applications made after the deadline date will be classed as late and will be considered after all on-time applications have been processed.

Parents who require a place at Borrow Wood Primary School can request a common application form from either the school or the Local Authority in October and the completed form must be returned to:

School Admissions, The Council House, Corporation Street, Derby, DE1 2FS. The application form is also available online at www.derby.gov.uk/onlineadmissions.

Outside the normal application dates, enquiries for places are dealt with by the Local Authority. Our Admissions Policy is based on that stated in the Local Authority Booklet which is published each year and is available below.

Further information can be obtained from the Derby City Council website.  Click here.
