Handwriting
In your handwriting book, we would like you to write a line of each of the ten spelling words above before putting each word into a sentence.
14:00 - 14:55 Fire Safety
Normally, Year 6 would receive a visit from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, who would come into school to deliver a session on fire safety. Unfortunately, this is not going to be possible this year but as a replacement for their visit, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service have sent over some resources for you to use so you still get the knowledge you need to stay safe!
You need to begin by watching the video with a parent/carer. There are different points in the video for you to pause it and discuss what has been shared. There are some additional notes for parents/carers to use to guide the conversation.
Once you have finished watching and discussing the video, you will need to complete the Fire Triangle task.
As an additional task, we would like you to use whatever resources you have at home to design a fire safety poster aimed at primary school children.
All of your tasks will need be attached to the assignment in the Science channel.
Here is a link to the Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service website if you need any further information. You will need to look at the Year 6 resources section.
