L.O: Locate Italy within the wider world
Today we will have a closer look at where Italy is and the countries which surround it.
Look at the map below. First of all find Italy. When you have found it, look at the shape of the country and the shape of countries around it. Today you are going to label your own map of Europe using this as your guide.
There are 2 sheets to choose from – you can choose how difficult a challenge you would like to do.
The first task asks you to label the European countries which are on the left hand side of the sheet,.
The more difficult challenge is to label a blank map. Use the poster below to help you to identify the countries.
If you haven’t got a printer, you can complete this interactive map online – take a picture of the screen when you have finished.
https://world-geography-games.com/countries_europe.html
When you have finished labelling your map, try to answer the following questions in your book:

Now answer these questions in your book. Please write out the question and the answer:
What does the desk tidy need to do?
Who will use it? (think about if you will use it or if you will make it or somebody else. Think about their age and what they might like to see on the desk tidy)
