Choose one of the homework tasks and bring it into school by Monday 16th December so it can be shared as part of our celebration event.

Year 5 and 6

1. Create a moving model of Earth, the moon or the solar system showing how they orbit and considering their relative sizes to each other.

2. Write a report about the moon including details such as its size, atmosphere, distance to earth and any interesting facts.

3. Design a space brochure - Imagine that space travel has become possible for ordinary people. Design a brochure that advertises a trip to the Moon, Mars, or another planet. Include details on the journey, activities to do there, and the cost.

4. Build a model of a famous North American landmark e.g. the Grand Canyon, Statue of Liberty, Niagara Falls.

5. Draw a map of North America and label/draw the different biomes within it.

6. Write a fact-file about a city or country in North America including information about its population, landmarks, location, culture.
