-Today we are going to write our own story called 'Man on Mars (A Day in the Life of Billy).

-Use your storyboard from yesterday to help you.

-Look at the silver checklist to show you what to include in your story. If that is too tricky, choose the bronze checklist. If you would like a challenge, choose the gold checklist.

-Remember to do your best, cursive handwriting, just like we do in school.

PSHE - Express Yourself (10:55am - 11:35am)

Choose one of the art activities below. You can complete this this afternoon, so you do not need to rush!

Handwriting (11:35 - 11:45am)

• Write the short date. (05.02.21)
• Practise joining 'ng'. 
• Practise writing 'sting'. Remember to join the letters.
• Practise writing 'playing'. Remember to join the letters. 
• Look at my example to help you.

Lunch (11:45am - 12:45pm)

Watch and join in with the pre-recorded phonics lesson for your group. We have emailed you with details of which video your child should watch and join in with. 

Maths Live Input (1:10pm - 1:30pm)

Log in to Teams for 20 minutes of maths input. 

Maths Task (1:35 - 2:30pm)

Today we will not be working in our Power Maths. Instead, we will work in our blue maths journal. Complete the division number sentences below using the grouping method that Mrs Ball explains. Use the strategies that we shared on Teams. When you have finished, send some photos of your work to Mrs Ball so that she can give you some feedback. If you finish Power Maths and fancy a challenge, have a go at the task below in your maths journal.

PSHE and golden time (2:30 - 3:05pm)

Finish your PSHE - Express Yourself activity that you started this morning.  

Then you can enjoy some golden time. 

Optional Year 2 assembly (3:05-3:15)

We are having a Year 2 assembly so that the children learning from home have the opportunity to see the their friends learning in school. 

We will be starting at 15:05pm and finishing at 15:15pm.
