25B Bookathon

In total, there are 75 books that the children have access to as part of the challenge and we hope children will enjoy reading the books throughout their time with us.

The 75 books have been broken down into three groups of 25 books and are age appropriate for the age ranges as follows:

• Year 1 and 2 - Cougar
• Year 3 and 4 - Panther
• Year 5 and 6 - Jaguar

A number of new books have been added to the challenge this year and the children will have the opportunity to read books written by a wide range of authors. 

To recognise the children's reading accomplishments, the children have the opportunity to achieve 25B wristbands, which are presented in our Star Award assemblies. Once the children have read 5 books, they will receive a bronze band. After 10 books, they will receive a silver band before achieving a gold band once they have read all 25 books for their age range.

As the year progresses, children will enter our '25B Hall of Fame' and their picture may appear below with them holding their favourite book so far in the challenge. Happy reading!
